New York based trumpeter & composer Josh Deutsch returns to his Northwest roots, appearing at Ivories July 30 alongside some of Portland's finest... Tim Willcox on tenor sax, Greg Goebel on piano, Andrea Niemiec on bass & Jason Palmer on drums. A native of Seattle, Deutsch has performed throughout the country and internationally with such groups as the Duke Ellington Big Band, the Sofia Rei Sextet, Pedro Giraudo's Expansions Big Band, as well as his own projects. The quintet appears here playing Deutsch's original music, along with a few re-imagined familiar songs.
